An independent council for business education quality
The International Council for Business Education & Programs (ICBEP) is an independent international membership and quality recognition council. It exists to help business schools, management institutes, executive education providers, and professional learning organizations strengthen the quality, integrity, and relevance of what they teach.
ICBEP brings structure to a fragmented landscape. Many capable institutions deliver strong programs but lack an accessible, transparent framework against which to demonstrate quality. ICBEP provides that framework — a shared language of standards, a consistent review process, and a public verification record that learners, employers, and partners can trust.
ICBEP operates within a worldwide landscape of quality and accreditation bodies. It does not duplicate national systems; it complements them with an independent, internationally minded layer of recognition focused on continuous improvement.

Why ICBEP exists
Business and management education is increasingly global, flexible, and outcome-driven. ICBEP was established to support institutions navigating this change responsibly: to encourage clear communication, evidence-based improvement, and learner-first practices, while avoiding the misleading claims that erode public trust.
Recognition status, annual review records, and the responsible use of the ICBEP name and badge are governed by clear, published principles. ICBEP states plainly what its recognition is — and what it is not.
Quality
Evidence-based standards that strengthen what institutions teach.
Transparency
Published criteria and verifiable, current recognition records.
Responsible growth
Support for institutions to grow without diluting quality.
Trust
A record learners, employers, and partners can rely on.
Built for the business-education community
ICBEP serves a broad range of institutions delivering business, management, and professional education.
ICBEP's role in business education quality
Four connected functions form the core of ICBEP's work.
Standards Framework
A shared, published quality framework spanning governance, curriculum, faculty, learners, and improvement.
Institutional Review
A consistent, evidence-based review of an institution against the ICBEP framework.
Program Recognition
Focused recognition of business and management programs grounded in outcomes and relevance.
Public Verification
A public directory and verification record so status can be checked openly and confidently.
What ICBEP recognition does not replace
ICBEP recognition is an independent quality recognition. It does not replace:
